Got Grills? Here Are the Tips You Need to Care for Your Smile

Posted .

There are many products in the world today that can harm your smile, and grills are one of them. However, there are ways you can wear your grills all while keeping your teeth and gums in tip-top shape, and our dedicated dental team is happy to tell you all about it! We recommend caring for your oral health while you have grills by doing the following things:

Keep up on oral hygiene

When you have grills, there is a high chance that food particles and other debris can get lodged between the grills and the teeth, which can cause major issues. If you don’t wash these objects away from your smile, they can create tooth decay and they can harm your gums. So, the best thing you can do is brush your teeth twice a day and floss your smile at least once a day. Please do so with a soft-bristled toothbrush, fluoride toothpaste, and a flossing product of your choice.

Limit the wear time

If you have decorated your smile with removable grills, it’s best to limit the wear time. The more often you wear them, the higher of a chance you’ll have of your teeth being destroyed. So, we recommend only wearing the products on special occasions and removing them before you eat a meal or snack.

Clean the product

Do your best to clean the grills daily. When you clean them, make sure to remove all of the plaque, bacteria, and debris present. Avoid using jewelry cleaner or any other toxic cleaning product to clean the grills.
